Volume 3: Global Vanguard & The Advanced Pinnacle
Crack... crack... crack!
A dry, harsh cracking sound echoed from the thousand-year-old coral reef bedrock. Pitch-black fissures tore across the snow-white sandy shore, writhing like a gigantic spiderweb, splitting apart weathered continental shelves before plunging down into the murky dark waters.
The air grew suffocatingly heavy. The foul, stagnant stench of the seafloor mud blended with a pungent, burning sulfur scent, assaulting their nasal passages and stinging their eyes.
“Fall back to the battleship immediately!”
Lin Feng roared, tightening his grip on the storage pouch containing the Life Crystal just recovered from the Sea God’s sacrificial altar. He could feel it vividly: the heartbeat of the Primordial Dragon Pendant against his chest was no longer calm; instead, it was spasming violently in rhythmic spasms, warning of an extinction-level peril crawling up from the abyss.
The five members of the Shenzhou team simultaneously activated their magical artifacts. Ye Qingwan waved her hand, a sapphire-blue whirlwind lifting the heels of everyone present and transforming them into streaks of light skimming across the collapsing rock spires, shooting straight toward the side of the Xuanwu (Black Tortoise) warship anchored offshore in the bay waiting for rescue.
The Xuanwu was a heavy defensive battleship of Shenzhou, its hull forged from magical titanium and densely carved with ancient defensive rune arrays. On the observation deck, crimson sirens spun frantically, letting out a shrill shriek.
